Pre-wedding shoots with a Buckinghamshire-based photographer

Why you need to have a pre-wedding shoot

All of my wedding packages include a pre-wedding shoot. Sometimes, people aren’t sure about this. They aren’t fussed by the idea of an extra photoshoot, or don’t want to be in front of the camera more than necessary. On a long list of busy wedding ‘to-do’s’, an extra photoshoot often feels like it belongs at the bottom.

But that’s where you’re wrong!

A pre-wedding shoot should be considered a wedding essential. Here is why:

Get to know me!

Of course, up to your pre-wedding shoot we will have chatted over email, or maybe even already met during a studio shoot. However, I will never have captured you and your other half alone before. You’ll probably never have been on a location shoot with me. And if you’ve never had a shoot with me full stop, it’s important that we get to know each other before the big day!

During a pre-wedding shoot we can chat and I can get to know you and your better half in front of and behind the camera.

If one of you is camera shy, has a “best” side, if you want to avoid certain poses… all of this can be covered during a pre-wedding shoot with me.

Celebrate your upcoming wedding!

Wedding planning is full on. It’s a whirlwind, with so much to think about and consider. Whilst it’s a lot of fun, it can be a source of a lot of stress too. Having a couple of hours away in a location that’s special to you can be just what’s needed for you as a couple. It gives you a chance to reflect on everything that’s going on and look forward to everything that’s to come.

Take some time out for the two of you

You’ve been hanging out with your bridal party and your stags, you’ve been meeting with suppliers, visiting venues, tasting cake and trying on dresses… but when did you last have some time for the two of you? A pre-wedding shoot is the perfect chance to do just that.

Get excited for the big day!

A pre-wedding shoot can help build on the excitement for the big day, when you realise that the next time the two of you will be photographed together it will be as a married couple! Let the stress and worries melt away for a few hours and embrace the love between the two of you, the excitement of everything you’ve got planned and the life you’re about to embark on together.

I am happy to travel wherever your love takes me to capture these magical moments in the run up to your special day! Some of my favourite locations to capture pre-wedding shoots are:

  • The Cotswolds villages, such as Bourton-on-the-Water and Castle Combe
  • London city streets around Islington and Marylebone
  • Oxford city centre
  • The rolling countryside in Buckinghamshire
