It's been a little while since I've journalled about a newborn session, so I thought I'd start with a recent session. Welcome to the world, Seth! Some of you may recognise Seth's parents, as Sam and Laura were my wonderful wedding clients last year. They had that gorgeous sunset engagement session at Studland Bay, and then went on to marry at Gate Street Barn in Surrey. Their wedding photography journey was a dream! And I recently had the honour of photographing their latest milestone - their new bundle of joy.
Newborn sessions take place at my Aylesbury photography studio. The sessions are all baby led, meaning we work through a gentle work flow where baby is always positioned on my posing beanbag, with a few twists and turns to create a gallery full of beautiful images for you to cherish forever. Newborn photography takes place within the first 2 weeks of baby's life. Most clients book in around their 20 week scan and we pencil in a date 7-10 days after your due date. If baby is early or late, we just move your session. I keep plenty of dates available around your due date to accommodate for this.
Newborn sessions take 2-3 hours to allow time for feeding, settling and changing, and to make sure I get enough photos of baby by themselves, family and sibling shots and any details. You can find out more about newborn photography with me here.
